printrbot open cable chain.
thingiverse
Completing a project, I've built and designed http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:39789. Enclosed cable chains often pose challenges in terms of rewiring and replacement of links; hence, I developed an innovative set with U-shaped sections instead of enclosures. These open links are easier to clip together compared to the closed ones. Additionally, I incorporated "45-x", "22-x", and "9-x" parts that can bend 45, 22.5, and 9 degrees respectively. I created two versions of basic links with either the top or bottom open, allowing users to build chains with channels on either inner or outer sides. Alternating these links can keep cables somewhat captive. Furthermore, there's a groove for zip-tie placement. In my chain, the lowest two reverse movable bottom links differ from others, but now parts are available that allow bending them backward without needing reversals.
