Experiencing temperature issues with my extruder stepper skipping, I decided to reduce voltage and installed a 40mm fan, specifically Noctua, for better cooling. The extruder now stays at an optimal 28-32 degrees Celsius with the fan in operation, preventing any jamming problems. To accommodate the fan, I initially drilled small 3mm holes which were later expanded upon receiving the fan. Known for their efficiency and quiet operation, Noctua fans are commonly used in PC building albeit at a higher cost. In terms of wiring, I hardwired the fan into the power leads as it needed to be constantly on without relying on the board. As always, feel free to share any updates or adjustments by using the provided DX file.
