I upgraded the standard ceramic hotend on my Printrbot Metal Plus with an E3D V6, which performs flawlessly. Not utilizing a spacer was a deliberate decision, considering the original fan shroud proved ineffective anyway. Instead, I designed and constructed my own custom fan shroud, which has been functioning perfectly for weeks without any issues.
