For approximately $15, you can upgrade your Printrbot's Z-axis build area from 150mm to 250mm or even more by extending the extruder cords. To achieve this, buy two 3ft, 5/16in (8mm) threaded rods and replacement smooth rods from a hardware store for $10-$15. Replace the original 1ft rods with the longer ones. Optionally, lengthen the wires or purchase extensions to maximize your printing capabilities. Enjoy your newfound build area!
