Improving my Printrbot's print quality through fan installation also posed a problem of reduced visibility due to shadowy progress. To resolve this, I modified PaulRac's fan mount into an LED mount. This upgrade now allows clear visibility during printing. For power, I used a 12V LED strip consuming only 50ma, wired it to the same PSU that powers the PrintrBot. The brightness of the LED strip was so intense that it needed a switch and blue tape for reflection control on the glass. Ensure all connections are soldered securely and properly route wires as the platform moves constantly during printing to avoid any potential short-circuits.
