Printrbot LC+ Z-nut Keeper
thingiverse
Ensuring the bridge descends smoothly, these gravity and alignment assistants keep the Z-rod nuts in their wooden slots. No surprises during descent! To assemble, clip them onto the back of the bridge on Printrbot without obstructing its beauty. After printing, remove support scaffolding under top clips. Slide the pieces into upper wooden slots first, then press down and slide their feet (keepers) onto the Z-rods and flatten them. The left side mounts inside the left tower, while the right one attaches at the back with clearance provided by removing the long screw & nut. You don't have to remove pulley & belt during this process. Remember to enable "support" or "scaffolding" when slicing due to slight overhang in both pieces and remove them after printing. Use fill density of at least 50%. For improved functionality, a newer version (v2) is available for download with better clearance and instructions have been refined as well. A photo showing the placement of Z-nut Keeper L v2 inside left tower has also been added. An earlier mistake in thing name ('Z-nut Keeper R' corrected to 'Z-nut Keeper L').
