Printrbot Laser Cut Build Platform By Beardface
thingiverse
Beardface's Laser Cut Build Platform has been converted to a PDF, rotated, and centered for A3 landscape printing. This design is compatible with an 8x8 inch heated bed as seen in Beardface's original Thingiverse post (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:17717). The platform was initially designed for Printrbot+ but can be used on a Printrbot Original with wider spaced bases and an 8-inch heat bed, as demonstrated in Brook Drumm's YouTube videos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6swI8Mer_yw&list=PLDEB12F986EC83054). To accommodate the platform on a Printrbot Original, fit 4x threaded rods of 305mm length and X-axis smooth rods of 332mm length. Find a full metric BOM for the Printrbot Original on this Google spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqAQZ3EWh53GdHc3dlNzZFZwNU1KbWJGdlNRX2RCcEE#gid=0). For improved stability, print feet similar to these Thingiverse models (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:36269 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:23889). The suggested material for this build platform is 6mm Beech Ply. Credit goes to Beardface for the original design.
