The stock extruder gear set is replaced with a 10-degree helical cut gears, 18t pinion featuring a keyed 5mm shaft hole and 60t spur gear. Using a spacer ensures correct filament alignment and prevents the gear from hitting bottom screws. These gears have a 32 pitch configuration, finer than the stock ones; thus, extruder motor steps may need adjustment. The spur fits snugly on the hobbed screw, requiring minimal force for installation, ensuring no excessive play.
