This set of Eagle v6.4.0 layout and PDF files enables you to create a PCB heatbed for your Printrbot Jr's print bed. The aluminum plate, which serves as the printing platform, has a heatbed mounted under it; its backside is touched by a thermistor inserted through a central hole in the heatbed. To insulate the PCB heatbed, spray it with "Plastik 70." For PLA printing, the heatbed should not exceed 65°C, so "Plastik 70" is suitable. The stock Printrbot Jr. printrboard directly powers the heatbed and sensor; however, a stronger power supply (12V, 15A or higher) is required. LEDs with matching resistors are also soldered at the edges and top of the PCB heatbed. After a week of use, the heatbed functions well, but remember to drill larger holes in the PCB than needed and use washers for thermal expansion differences between the PCB and aluminum plate.
