The Printrbot Jr Bowden extruder modification separates the heavy extruder (cold-end) from the printer's head, leading to reduced moving mass and decreased vibrations. This results in enhanced printing speed and improved print quality. The mod uses stock Printrbot Jr bolts and nuts along with specific parts like approximately 50 cm PFTE tubing and two Pneufit straight adaptors. Note that the Pneufit adaptors may cause backlash or oozing, which can be fixed by using additional accessories.
