The original idler bracket of my Printrbot caused the belt to not run parallel to the rods, thus affecting tension as the carriage moved. I printed a modified version but haven't installed it yet. The belt teeth riding on the skate bearing was not ideal; however, adding an 18T adaptor improved the belt angle. Perhaps this was intended? I found a sketchup version to credit droftarts for their hard work. My X-carriage now runs smoother than before. However, if the belt is already running true, adding the adaptor may not be necessary. My printed bracket is in ABS at .2mm resolution.
