Summary This Universal Spool Holder is designed to be printed on a 100mm bed using PLA filament. Originally intended for use with the PrintrBot 1405 Simple's Z-rods, it can also hang from the ceiling to maximize Z-axis travel. The holder requires an M8x140mm bolt as its axle and incorporates clips and cones sourced from Thingiverse designs. Two axle holders are needed, one a mirror image of the other, which are assembled with 4xM3 screws. Additional Sharkz spacers can be printed for narrow spools or those with large center holes. The holder's design is publicly available on Onshape. Print settings should be adjusted to minimize infill in the clips when printing in PLA to prevent brittleness.
