PrintrBot Guide Washers

After doing the XL upgrade, my X-axis began slipping consistently on large prints. Frustrated with constantly resetting the x-belt only for it to slip off again, I observed that the belt wobbled as it traversed the entire XL length. Noticing this irregular movement, I devised Guide Washers. If only the front washer on the guide bearings were a bit larger, it would prevent the belt from slipping off entirely. Hopefully, Printbot will implement this modification in future versions of the Simple. This project is dedicated to my partner and friend, Tux Kitty. Amazingly, this cat aids me with every zany project I embark on. Instructions Printed using a PrintrBot Simple with default settings. Y Axis: Simply release the tensioner and remove it. Replace the outermost washer with a guide washer. Position the new washer under the gear motor lip for additional support. X Axis: To access the table, both body sides must be removed. Unclip the X-belt retaining zip tie on one end. I needed to remove one of two inner washers to fit this modified washer underneath the gear motor lip. Thread the belt through by cranking the gear manually and then secure it. Finally, reassemble everything properly.
