Printrbot - Direct Drive to Bowden Extruder Adapter
thingiverse
I intend to utilize a Printrbot direct drive extruder, made of aluminum or their newly designed printed/geared version, on a Mini Kossel setup. This is a mock part to ensure proper fitment of a push-tube adapter in place of a Ubis hot end. The OpenSCAD file is available for inclusion, should customization be necessary at any point. The provided picture illustrates the installation process on a Printrbot geared direct drive extruder. Detailed Instructions: This dummy part should be printed using ABS material with 50% fill density. PLA would likely function just as well due to the low temperature requirements of this component. The part is designed to accommodate an M5x0.8 thread push tube adapter, requiring a corresponding tap for the process. Additionally, it may be necessary to adjust the diameter in the OpenSCAD file to generate a customized STL file based on individual preferences.
