Printrbot cable chain X-motor mount with connector.
thingiverse
A cable chain mount featuring DB25 connector mounting is being used, despite unsuitable versions due to external bracing on the bot. The chosen version C mates with http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:40918 or http://www.thumbiverse.com/thing:11978. The cable sticks out on the left side of the bot, and the connector is on the front with the mating plug/socket having the cable pointed up. Printed in .2mm layer PLA, it requires a solder cup type DB25 (not an IDC type). Version C has two sections that can be broken out for easy replacement without unsoldering. The connector mounting is intended to be with M3 screws, having recesses for the nuts. Tapping the holes to M3 and omitting the nuts could also work. The part is zip-tied and screwed to the motor mount, avoiding gluing in case of future replacement. Ensure considering current ratings of wires and connectors while using ribbon cable with 6 conductors/contacts for heater instead of 2. Keep temperature sensor wires away from electrically noisy wires, using a separate shielded or twisted pair if necessary. Current use is 20 wires/contacts, leaving spares for future mods like E-motor fan and lights.
