Printrbot Bowden Cable mod
thingiverse
Transform your standard extruder into a Bowden setup with this modification, suitable for 3mm filament. An update now offers dual-hotend versions for multi-color printing experiments. For Printrbot users with stock printers, minimal instructions involve printing an extruder-to-Bowden and a Bowden-to-hotend. Install Pneufit adapters onto the Bowden cable and attach it to the printed pieces. Extensive instructions are available for those feeling adventurous, detailing how to mount an extruder on the X-idler or use a RepRapFab hotend. Experimental instructions offer dual-hotend Bowden-to-hotend versions for 2-color extrusion, though modifications in electronics and software may be required. Use 50cm of PTFE tubing with 3.18 inner/6 outer diameter and two Pneufit straight adaptors for the setup. The bowden-to-hotend is a modified Greg's Wade Reloaded extruder body, compatible with various hotends. Remember to download necessary configuration files from Greg's Wade Reloaded for customization.
