Printrbot 2.1 Carriage Conversion IMPROVED + Side Channel Blower Rev. C

Hello everyone, I recently revised this design and it now supports both the aluminum and plastic Printrbot extruder (check out the plastic version here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:281015). The blower mounting holes may require some adjustments, but I've found that attaching the blower with double-sided tape works well. However, I have since moved on to the new Printrbot carriage design. To print this, use ABS and glue on the side air dam with acetone. This model is designed for a 50mm 12v blower on the side, as it offers better efficiency, a cleaner design, and makes room for an autolevel probe. Additionally, the blower is much quieter than an axial fan. Feel free to use this design as inspiration or a starting point for your modifications. After approximately 1000 hours of printing with this carriage, I can confidently say its performance has been exceptional. Don't forget to include an autolevel probe!
