Printrbot 10 Tooth Pulley Mod

Printrbot 10 Tooth Pulley Mod

The initial Printrbot Plus purchase in November 2012 revealed an issue with the 10T Pulleys on both X and Y axis slipping. To remedy this, a modification was made to improve grip longevity while ensuring a customized fit for the printer. The mod includes adding a place for the 3mm nut that came with the Printrbot parts, shortening the overall pulley length, and compatibility with both the original set screw from the old pulley and the 3mm allen head screws included in the Printrbot package. It's essential to note this modification is designed for flattened motor shafts and not suitable for the old round ones. All files are configured for ABS plastic, and the G-code file was created using Slic3r 0.9.7, centered on X: 75 Y: 75 for both 6 inch and 8 inch Printrbot models. The G-code will print two pulleys, but it's a highly detailed print taking approximately 2 hours to complete. It is an advanced print best suited for experienced users with calibrated printers. The STL file has been optimized using Netfabb. Additionally, printing the "Printrbot Y-Axis Mod" (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:48299) is recommended to level the print bed and provide clearance for the 10T pulley under the print bed.
