Printermods MDD Bondtech BMG Mount/Bracket (Ender 3 & Ender 5)
thingiverse
I wasn't the biggest fan of the default mounting solution for the MDD bondtech extruder, so I designed this alternative. To attach it to the stepper motor on top, you'll need the screws that came with the BMG printer kit. It's also highly recommended to install a heat sink on the stepper motor since it's now insulated from the printer frame. The included cooling duct should provide much improved performance compared to the stock one, and I recommend using it. Additionally, remove the heatbreak spacer that comes in the MDD kit and print the replacement one provided in the files. Additional Hardware Needed: 1x M3x5 or M3x10 screw 1x M3x15 or M3x20 screw The screws should self-tap, so you don't need to worry about fasteners. Just be careful not to over-tighten them, as this can cause the threads to come loose. You likely have these screws lying around from other parts of your printer kit. In the image, the short piece of PTFE tubing leading from the extruder to the hotend appears slightly misaligned. However, this issue is addressed in the updated design and has been fixed on my machine. The image you see is an early version of the mount I created.
