Printer Resolution Test Plates

Printer Resolution Test Plates

I created these tests to learn just how sharp a feature my printer can capture at different settings. One pin features elevated ridges and pins, the other displays hollow spaces. Print them out to discover how small you can go with everything. There are two major patterns, a 10mm empty space and a pin on the left, plus a set of pins or voids that range from 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1mm in size. A second set of decreasing spaces is displayed below, measuring 5,4,3,2,1 mm each. The center boasts an equal-angled shape and a bar with sizes ranging from 3, 2, 1, 0.9, 0.8, 0.7, 0.6, 0.5, 0.4, 0.3, 0.2, and 0.1 mm in height, accompanied by a matching series along the right edge. Interestingly my printer normally ceases at 0.6mm resolution but can slightly exceed it with lines drawn on the X axis and when displaying voids instead of raised bars. Labels have been included, but their printability relies on your printer's capabilities to accurately render fine details.
