Printer Hood Guide Rails
thingiverse
To enhance the enclosure, I designed guide rails for the hood to facilitate easy removal or door hatch opening while keeping it securely in place. I've provided STL and SKP files of my hood platform as reference. The rear rail pieces are shorter due to the 1/8" lexan thickness and 1/4" back. The back corner pieces slide on and secure with a bolt, while Gorilla Super Glue attaches other rails. Front rails have a sloping front for door hatch access. I modified the front middle rail eliminating the need for spacers. Add support clips for rear overhangs; they're essential. For printing, use ReplicatorG with Skienforge (50) and default settings for the Replicator 2, adjusting Infill_PerimeterOverlap ratio to 0.3.
