Printer Fume Hood
thingiverse
Finally assembled the hood... This hood allows access to the front hatch for tasks like clearing jams or adjusting rear print parts. The hinge design uses rear corners as guides for accurate alignment. I didn't utilize all holes, as they were not necessary for a sturdy build. Hole positions are set for 1/8" Lexan panels. Hinges are fastened using a 1.75mm filament through their centers, which can be softened by heat and flattened with an object like a ruler, creating a 'pop rivet' effect. Included are the SKP and STL files for accurate dimension measurements. Recently, I updated my rail guide platform project to incorporate support clips, as seen in the rear alongside K9. K9 is always vigilant over my prints!
