Printer Calibration Cubes
thingiverse
To determine your printer's error profile, print these cube models using different settings like speed, number of shells, and layer height. Measure five dimensions for each piece with a caliper and compare them to the expected sizes. These dimensions include X-inner width, X-outer width, Y-inner width, Y-outer width, and Z height. The printer's error can be represented by a constant (c) and a multiplier (m). By measuring two pieces, you can solve for m and c, but three pieces provide more data for cross-checking accuracy. Note that the X and Y dimensions are the same, but only marked on the X side. Measure separately for X and Y to account for different errors in each axis.
