Printed Picture -Experiment

1/25/22 update for work in progress. Worked on a new version of this image technique. Used GlowInDark filament over black filament base. Had to thicken the textured portion, because the glow filament is a more transparent filament. Added the last two images. One in normal light condition. The other with light removed, to see the glow effect- although I had to enhance the contrast in the image a bit to make it visible for the image. This was an experiment that was inspired by Printed Painting post https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4975030 This struck me as something very similar to what you could do with a Lithophane positive image instead of the typical negative that is used to shine light through. Additional note: This should be printed flat on bed instead of upright like typical Lithophanes. It doesn't produce quite the same resolution as you get in Lithophanes in this geometry, but you need the dark or black background as a base, and then add just a few layers of white. You also need to make the black layer 4-5 mm thick, then reduce the size of the remaining white layers to 1 mm or less, running at .1 mm/layer at least for the white portion of the image. You can adjust your printer to run the black layer at .3 mm to speed that part in the printing.
