In the process of retrofitting a manual Sherline mill for CNC operations, noting that screw mount measurements might be slightly off by a few thousandths. Requires two SFR4 flanged bearings each, along with motor couplers and mounting screws. The fit has been tested using bearings but functional testing is pending. Printing the part with 0.7 infill, 0.2 layer height ABS appears strong; however, solid printing could be considered for added durability. Good bridging is essential during printing. Clean up any membrane over the mount and bearing holes, and place bearings on either side of the back wall. Motor coupler selection and preloading adjustment are yet to be determined.
