Reflections in Petri plate lids are a frequent problem when imaging plant seedlings or other biological samples grown in Petri plates. This printable lid efficiently resolves the issue, originally designed for SPIRO robot imaging but also suitable for manual imaging. It is recommended to print the lid using dark matte filament. The lid can be easily sterilized by UV exposure (two 15-minute sessions are sufficient) or soaking in 70% ethanol for approximately 20 minutes, then thoroughly drying to ensure no ethanol remains in the plastic pores. This printable lid matches the dimensions of commercially available lids for 12 cm square plates, such as those offered by Greiner Bio-One International (Item: 688102).
