Printed holder for optical endstop (stripboard version)
thingiverse
A Gen7 optical endstop stripboard version holder is showcased in this design (available at http://reprap.org/wiki/Gen7_Endstop_1.3.1). Designed for custom Mendel90s with optical min endstops, it fixes the Y endstop to the base plate. The stripboard slots into a depression and is secured by screwing on the holder. Slot holes enable adjustment of the photointerrupter slit position. Parametric SCAD file allows easy customization for various PCB sizes and slot hole lengths. Before printing, modify parameters in the SCAD file according to your stripboard/PCB dimensions (e.g., 41x21mm depression for a 40x20mm stripboard). Slot holes measure 3.2mm (for M3 screws) and are 14mm long. The holder was printed in PLA 3mm with a 0.5mm nozzle, 0.4mm layer height at 25% infill. Attach the stripboard/PCB into the depression using hot glue, then affix the assembled holder onto your device - slot holes allow for adjustment.
