Printed Grip Strengthener
grabcad
This 3D-printed Hand Grip Strengthener is designed to address muscle relaxation issues faced by astronauts in microgravity environments. The device can be used alongside regular exercises or during other activities. It prints without support and fits on a 6x6x6-inch build platform. Three equidistant compression springs are housed within the rectangular body, with a circular window to monitor their status. The model is printable in ABS and, to some extent, PLA, but performs better with ABS. It's also scalable to suit individual astronaut needs. Currently, it's being posted on Future Engineers, Pinshape's Space Design Competition, and here.
