Upcycling a rubber maid plastic storage tub into a functional end table requires connector pieces, along with 4 small pieces of 1/2 inch copper pipe and standard grid from an overhead lighting panel to create a functional furniture piece. The sci-fi grunge styling with its alien looking top corners snaps into place with the pipe inserts and top lock stops. Both the leg pieces and top corners print easily in resolutions from 200-400 microns, including knock-off supports. Supporting a smaller living footprint, this design integrates storage space into daily living. The leg pieces are hot glued on and come off easily when required. The top connecting pieces snap on and off so that the storage tub is also accessible. When moving time arrives, all pieces stow inside. All pieces were printed with a $300 Makerbot 3D printer.
