I created a printed version of Gav's Dymaxion map. I used PandaCNC's illustrator file to convert the lasercut drawing into a 3D printed model. I fine-tuned the file, added color change triangles and made some improvements. Color change: 0-1mm : base (ocean) - blue glow in the dark 1-2mm: continents - bronze 2-2.4mm: grid - black 2.4-2.8mm: Prime meridian (Greenwich) and Equator - gold I used 60 M3x10mm screws and inserts from Gav's Dymaxion map for assembly.
