My aim was to create a straightforward and practical concept that delivers results. I designed a vice specifically suited for securely holding a printed circuit board (PCB) during various operations such as inspection, component installation, modification, repair, etc. The overall dimensions are: Length = 182 mm / Width = 86 mm / Height = 80 mm A flat placement and multiple tilt orientations are possible due to numerous retention features built into the design. The maximum grab width is 116 mm when at its maximum tilt angle. The securing load can be easily adjusted using a knob-driven pusher mechanism. Additional hardware requirements, including bolts, jam nuts, and washers, are depicted in the provided exploded view graphics. Print Settings: (1) The knob was printed with 100% fill, while the Main Body and Pusher were printed at 30% fill. (2) The Main Body was printed with a layer height of 0.15 mm, and the Pusher and Knob were printed with a layer height of 0.1 mm. (3) Further print settings are shown in the provided graphics (via Cura slicer screenshots).
