The PrintBot Crab is a six-legged robot designed for educational purposes, capable of walking as an hexapod and grabbing objects with its pincers. It features modular design to attach components like servos, LEDs, push buttons, a buzzer and other sensors from the "Mi primer kit de robotica" kit distributed by bq. Check out a video of it in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bb_dW-XyTIc The robot's BOM includes printed parts such as battery holder, body, central leg supports, pincers, eyes, shell and more. Electronic components include a Freaduino UNO (Arduino UNO derivative), MiniServos, and an 8 AAA battery holder. Optional electronic components include a Bluetooth module. Hardware requirements include 8 AAA batteries, screws, nuts, rubber bands, and ferrule. Building instructions are available in the attached Spanish PDF, which can still be followed even without understanding the language due to clear pictures. Attached Arduino programs use the Oscilator library by obijuan. The PrintBot Crab is an experimental and early-released product developed by bq's Innovation and Robotics Department. It is shared with the intention of testing it within the community, with final releases to be published on http://diwo.bq.com & http://diwo.bq.com/montaje-del-printbot-crab/. However, bq disclaims any responsibility for its use as a final product.
