This is an innovative enclosure designed specifically for the ZX Harlequin, a modern clone of the classic ZX Spectrum that can be purchased in kit form. The ZX Harlequin boasts several target features: 3D Printable without support material, consisting of just three parts - a base and two cover pieces. It utilizes the standard ZX Spectrul rubber keyboard, membrane, and faceplate for a seamless user experience. The design closely resembles the original case but minus any branding. Additionally, it includes holes for ROM selection and reset switches that are secured with loctite in the base part. By June 18th, 2018, the base design was completed, printed, and validated. However, one weakness in the current design is that the front screws are located under the faceplate. To address this issue, a redesign will be implemented to allow screws to be placed from the bottom, making disassembly possible without removing the faceplate. The next step involves designing the rear cover, which will feature a ventilation grill strategically positioned for optimal airflow and heat dissipation.
