This is an interlocking strap system designed to be used with flexibles like TPU. The design was inspired by Variable Seams after searching for a solution for a flexible strap for my custom keyboard designs. It's 0.6mm thick (connector ends are 1.2mm) and prints quickly with standard speed TPU. It is rather durable with TPU 95A, but increasing the infill/perimeter overlap is recommended to ensure the inside perimeters completely mesh with the solid infill. The loop links chain together to create a length strap. One end of the connector closes the last open loop link on the chain. Create another chain and close it with the other end of the connector to finish the strap. You can refer to images 1-7 for a visual aid. Images 8-12 show some examples of finished straps. The relief cuts in the loop links allow the folding section to sit flat at 20mm or overlap and narrow further to 9.7mm.All strap components in the photos are printed at 256mm long.Settings for 0.4mm nozzle:0.2 layer height0.42 line width25% infill/perimeter overlapOptional: 1 slow layerIf you have any questions or design requests, feel free to reach out.
