This is my printable STL conversion of Printrbot's Open Source Adjustable Spool Coaster, built on the foundation laid by Printrbot's original DXF lasercut design hosted here:https://www.youmagine.com/designs/printrbot-adjustable-spool-coaster It securely holds nearly any spool size of filament, accommodating wide or thin configurations and locking into place with 3mm bolts. Get the assembly instructions from Printrbot at http://help.printrbot.com/c/Acrylic_Adjustable_Spool_Coaster. This modified version uses pins to hold the 608zz bearings, rather than traditional bolts - consult my assembled images for troubleshooting tips. Based on original DXF files, it maintains the use of all listed hardware from Printrbot's BOM and features customized design elements. The modification enhances the build by incorporating printing capabilities: tabs/sockets have been designed to print tightly, with no significant machining needed. Using .20 mm height, a 30% infill and 2 perimeters yields optimal results on my printrbot simple setup. To achieve precise prints, print two interconnected parts, assessing fitment with your setup. The final design reaches a print height of 5.6mm, positioning tabs/sockets closely to their original pattern - loose tabs may be rectified by adjusting perimeter count or exporting the files into Tinkercad for an extra .2mm. Modify and share at will; give credit where necessary.
