Revised spool holder for various cheap Chinese spools is available via an OpenSCAD file that can be customized with specific details of your spool and hardware. STL files are also provided for MakerGear and RepRaper spools. Users must ensure the filament tension is maintained to prevent tangling. Note that the script may contain some errors, so testing is advised before use. The instructions require 4 M4 bolts, nuts, washers, and 624 bearings (from dismantled Sells Mendel), and modification of the SCAD file allows for additional components like fender washers.
