Printable 'spare' Ultimaker fan holder
thingiverse
After numerous fan holder designs, I discovered that the original UM holder often works better. Although not as targeted, it offers a high flow rate over a useful area, cooling printed plastic often missed by finer air blasts during fast head movement. My goal was to create printable one-piece copies of the supplied UM fan mount without support material. These holders can replace broken originals or serve as spares for foresight. Two versions exist: the 'Printable UM fan holder,' which bolts in using original hardware, and the 'Florian push-fit variant' that easily slides into place. Both print well with High or Ultra Netfabb profiles. Printing without a fan is possible if necessary; otherwise, it looks better with one. In Netfabb, add the desired fan holder part, select the chosen profile and quality setting, then print, clean holes if needed, and attach. Keep printing!
