Printable ship hull divided into segments
thingiverse
This is a container ship hull modelled after a 121m long, 18.45m wide and 6.7m drafting ship. A hole for the prop-shaft and rudder needs to be drilled. It is my first ship and quite unrefined. I divided it into segments ranging from 12 to 16 cm for printing. The whole ship is in scale 1:144 and is ~84cm long. There are no Rudder, deck and Bulbous bow parts included, that's up to you. Currently I am working on the Prop shaft and designing rudder and fins. This design IS NOT TESTED as of March 7th, 2020 in terms of characteristics when under way in the water. This container ship hull model is a representation of a 121m long, 18.45m wide and 6.7m drafting vessel. A hole must be drilled for the prop-shaft and rudder. As my first ship, it is quite unpolished. I divided the hull into segments ranging from 12 to 16 cm for printing purposes. The entire ship is scaled at 1:144 and measures approximately 84cm in length. No Rudder, deck or Bulbous bow parts are included, leaving that up to your creativity. Currently, I am focusing on completing the Prop shaft and designing the rudder and fins. This design has not undergone testing as of March 7th, 2020 regarding its performance when in operation.
