I've decided to create my own 3D printer, and now I'm eager to make a 3D printable printer. Since I haven't printed yet, I plan to use PLA for the body and ASA or nylon for the print bed. A NEMA motor will drive the Z axis at the back of the printer, connected to a threaded rod, while an 8mm rod with gear at the top will power the X motor located at the front. Linear bearings will be installed on all four corners of the Z axis. I've utilized parts from Thingiverse, such as the Arduino holder and LCD display, to speed up my project. I've also added holes for dowels in the two halves so they can fit together securely. Moreover, I've designed bearing holders, which are still awaiting testing. Currently, I'm busy designing the X/Y carriage parts, but once completed, I'll be ready to try printing with this new printer. Print Settings: Printer: Completely Custom-Built Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: This printer will utilize a custom-built machine with two 200mm beds side by side, offering a build area of approximately 380x190x340mm due to the standard extruder currently in use.
