Printable guitar neck with 8 mm rod
thingiverse
As I didn't want to wait for my trussrod to arrive from China, I took the neck files from Solstie and added a hole for an M8 threaded rod that I had lying around to the three files. This should help prevent warping of the neck if stored with tensioned strings. I also removed the name from the bottom piece (sorry, Solstie ;-) ) and added a second version of the headpiece which is 2 mm thinner and only has 10.5 mm holes for the tuners as the original one was too thick and the holes were a little too big for the tuners I still had at home. Length of the 8 mm rod is about 365 mm. I put the neck pieces together with superglue and activator and also put some of it on the rod to prevent it from vibrating inside the neck. It works like a charm so far, the neck warping issue seems to be solved ;-)
