Printable Enclosure for Flicker-Hallucination Visor Electronics
thingiverse
This printable enclosure is designed for the flicker-hallucination goggles (brain machine) project, which can be found on treehovse.blogspot.com. The instructions are provided solely for personal archiving purposes. Limited quantities of these kits were made for a special event, but you might still be able to obtain one by contacting the provider directly. The enclosure is designed to fit specific goggles available on Amazon and can also be modified using hobby electronics skills. It consists of RGB LEDs sandwiched between translucent acrylic placed in front of each eye, which blink within a 10-50Hz range with varying color patterns. The button pad is printed in three sections - mask, buttons, and small square posts that contact the tactile switches - and glued together before being inserted into the main enclosure. This design offers good tactile feel and can be useful for other projects. A light-colored plastic with thin walls allows indicator LEDs to shine through inside the enclosure. Replacing the acrylic diffuser with a natural ABS or clear PLA printed object is also possible.
