<p>There is just something about items being printed at unusual scales that amuses me. I love miniatures from <a href="/PrettySmallThings/about">PrettySmallThings</a> just as much as I love blown up versions of tiny things (like this <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:203114">Lego Christmas Wreath</a> by <a href="/slimchaps/about">slimchaps</a>).</p> <p>Combine this with the fact that I've been learning <a href="http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview">Fusion 360</a> by modeling things I have on my desk...and you get a printable DVI connector that I printed at a comically large size.</p> <p>The thumb screws turn in place just like the real thing thanks to some handy tricks I learned from the great <a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjF7R1fz_OOVsMp6nKnpjsXSQ45nxfORb">Layer by Layer</a> videos on YouTube.</p> <h3> Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer Brand:</strong></p> <p>MakerBot</p> <p><p class="detail-setting printer"><strong>Printer: </strong> <div><p>MakerBot Replicator 2</p></div><strong>Rafts:</strong></p> <p>Yes</p> <p><p class="detail-setting supports"><strong>Supports: </strong> <div><p>Yes</p></div><strong>Resolution:</strong></p> <p>0.3mm</p> <p><p class="detail-setting infill"><strong>Infill: </strong> <div><p>10% (or more)</p></div></p> <p><strong>Notes:</strong></p> <p>This could probably be sliced in half and printed with limited (or no) supports, but I really wanted to keep the thumbscrews captured inside of the print.</p> </p></p></p> Category: Scans &amp; Replicas
