thingiverse
I had a problem slicing the original with my print settings. I broke the original down and redrew it to be 1mm thick instead of the .8mm the original was. This should work in the original design, although I did fudge with the diameter just a tiny bit, you've been warned! File is a tiny bit smaller and also oriented for printing. Instructions My Printrbot Simple 2013 is setup with a .4mm tip and has MXL belts and pulleys. Just used my usual settings for everything else I print so I don't think anyone trying to make this needs any special settings. Make sure to check your slice level-by-level to verify there aren't any strange artifacts. The slice should look like the printer is actually traveling along the path of the spring and not jumping around to different points.
