Printable CNC Machine
thingiverse
This project is based on an Instructables guide for creating a desk-top 3-axis CNC milling machine (http://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-to-Build-Desk-Top-3-Axis-CNC-Milling-Machine/). I was inspired to build my own printable CNC machine when I found an incomplete one that had been removed. Utilizing a frame from my old, poorly made CNC machine, I designed this improved version which has shown promising results so far. Drawing inspiration from Prusa's design, I incorporated features such as the bushing and anti-backlash nut. The new design boasts a significantly larger build area, with upgraded motors and drivers. For the Z-axis, I used a large stepper motor (resembling a NEMA 23 but unsure of the exact model) paired with a high-quality lead screw that I had on hand from a printer. Instructions for this project will be coming soon.
