Printable Cable Trunk
thingiverse
My take on a cable trunk designed for 3D printing allows for easy organization of wiring in your electronics compartment at a very low cost. This design has been tested with my own Voron V2 printer (http://vorondesign.com/). The supports are not necessary, as the part prints well in ABS to provide some flexibility. However, PLA may require adjustments depending on the specific printing conditions. PETG is likely to work just fine. As can be seen from the images, the bottom features built-in pockets for 1mm thick double-sided tape to secure it firmly in place, which should suffice for most applications. Additionally, there are slots for 5mm bolts that can be screwed in if desired. The sides of the design have a slight angle, allowing for a secure grip on the cap and providing stability.
