thingiverse
As I like to tinker with OpenSCAD, I took the already great LM8 bushings from Triffid Hunter and wrapped a block around it. Additionally, I added a short code to combat the elephant's foot effect my printer is prone to. Credit goes to triffid_hunter for the entire bushing design! --update 2016-01-25: Added some code to print with a smaller footprint, saving time and material in the process. If you prefer to print the larger one for stability purposes, open the SCAD file and change "housing_small" to false, then recompile. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: I3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: None Notes: The STL files were created for .35mm nozzles. You can easily create your own variant thanks to the code from triffid. Just open the SCAD file, edit line 24 (extrusion_width) to suit your needs, press F6, and export to STL.
