Atlas was given a particularly harsh punishment: he had to hold up the sky forever. The only way he could escape this fate was to find someone else who would take on the burden for him. Unfortunately, no one ever agreed to do so, and Atlas was left to carry the weight of the world for eternity.\r\n\r\nWhile we now know that these myths are purely fictional, I created this table as a modern interpretation of this ancient legend. Although Atlas may not actually hold up the sky, he can easily support your table with his sturdy pedestal base. A statue of Atlas proudly stands atop this pedestal, lifting the sky above him into place. To add an extra touch of elegance, the Sun's rays are depicted shining through the clouds at the bottom of the table.\r\n\r\nAssembling this table is a breeze. Simply apply a small dot of glue to the center of the Sun on the table and press it firmly onto the top of the Atlas statue. Once the bond has set and the glue has dried, your Atlas table will be complete.
