This project demanded a significant amount of time and effort. As its name suggests, this is a body kit for an airsoft AEG AR15, which means you receive a V2 gearbox, an AR15-type hopup assembly, barrel, handguard, stock, and pistol grip. Put them together, and voilà - you have an airsoft gun. (Yes, it's designed so that standard AEG parts are compatible, but you can also print everything) That also means you can customize or paint it in bright colors if you want. Note that some level of technical expertise is required. You might consider printing this for the following reasons: A. You live in a country where airsoft supplies are scarce and expensive, possibly due to importation issues. However, you can source a gearbox, hopup unit, and external barrel tubing and have a 3D printer nearby. B. Printing body kits is relatively cheap, and they hold up well, so that's another reason to consider it. C. If you want an extremely lightweight build at a low price, this fits the bill. D. Experimentation is always a good reason to try something new. E. You're interested in building a gelblaster. Now, let's talk about variant E. I received a ton of messages from Chinese individuals, as well as those in Europe and Australia who are interested in building a gelblaster using my components. Honestly, I'm not sure if they'll fit together seamlessly. Nobody has reached out to me yet saying they've successfully built a gelblaster with my parts. If you're serious about building a gelblaster, the best thing you can do is send me your gearbox and T-piece along with the barrel. Thanks to your messages, I now know what those components are. Alternatively, if you can perfectly draw them in CAD, that works too. If you decide to give it a try, feedback would be incredibly helpful in pushing this project forward, fixing possible mistakes, and making it better overall. If you want to support this project and have access to more of my designs like these, the best thing you can do is buy a blank receiver. If you'd like it without any markings or with custom markings, I can handle that myself or customize it per your request if you reach out to me through Discord. INSTRUCTIONS! I really need to make a video for the next update, which will likely include stock and a vid. Printing orientation for receivers is correct; don't touch it unless you want to rotate it along the Z-axis. First print the lower part, which requires no supports. I recommend applying some PVA (if using a glass bed) and starting to print. You don't really need a heated bed for this one (implying PLA or PETG usage). It will take about 10 hours depending on wall thickness (1.2-1.6 recommended), and infill doesn't matter. Then, print the upper part, which requires supports as well. Rotate it 180 degrees so that the face meeting the barrel is on the build plate flat. Make sure you're levelled properly; if not, your barrel and handguard may end up tilted. After printing the parts, clean up areas with overhangs and supports. Depending on your gearbox brand, you may need to sand down a protrusion on the back inner face of the lower receiver.
