Designing a phone case for the iPhone 5 has been lacking, so I created my own custom design that fits perfectly with an Otterbox case on my device. The addition of a built-in stand at the back adds functionality and convenience. To ensure a secure fit, all parts are carefully toleranced to allow for easy assembly by simply connecting male ends to female ends. Currently, I'm printing out this design as I write, so I'll add photos once it's fully assembled. If you're planning to print your own case, note that the dimensions may become distorted between the inventor and STL export. To resolve this issue, simply scale up all parts to 1000% in Makerware or your preferred slicer. For optimal results, I recommend using Makerware due to its ability to manipulate 3D designs. When printing, I positioned the speaker with its larger end facing down and everything else on its side. Additionally, you may need to add support materials during the printing process. To assemble this phone case, follow these steps: print two speakers, one stand, and two bendy pieces. Once printed, you can assemble them at any desired angle to create a custom fit for your iPhone 5 with Otterbox case.
