Print2Help 3D Printed Face Shield Visor for COVID 19
thingiverse
Our own design of a 3D printed headband produced by www.print2help.com has been manufactured in our local area (Glasgow and Ayrshire) with a total of 1700 units. As with all 3D printed face shields, these are not CE compliant. We urge users to be aware of this fact and to avoid replacing official PPE if available. We are currently collaborating with our NHS contacts for 'Fit for purpose' testing and seeking approval for use in our area. However, this does not guarantee suitability for all areas, so please check with your local authorities. Features: - A standard A4 acetate/clear sheet with a UK 4-hole punch attachment provides quick and secure attachment. - Easy assembly and disassembly allow for thorough cleaning. - Optimized form and material use make printing efficient (approximately 17g can be printed in 30 minutes with a 0.6mm nozzle). - No voids or hole features improve infection control, as recommended by NHS infection control contacts. - The 'T-Bar' style headband attachment allows for the use of nylon elastic but also accommodates single-use perforated tourniquets for enhanced infection control. Please exercise caution and only use these if certified PPE is not available.
